The Curly-Coated Retriever is one of the oldest of the retriever breeds, predating the Labrador and Golden Retrievers. Its distinctive tightly curled coat is naturally water-resistant and helps protect it from brambles and icy waters.

The Curly Coated Retriever is a breed of dog originally bred in England who specialized in upland bird and waterfowl hunting. This breed is the tallest of the retrievers and is easily distinguishable by its tight curls which cover its body. The Curly Coated Retriever has a long and proven history of being a solid and loyal family dog.

Personality and Temperament

This breed is a very caring, friendly, and easy to be around dog. They enjoy socializing with other dogs and generally show no signs of aggression.
